President Uribe Visit to the U.S.

According to the Factfinder of the U.S. Census Bureau, there are approximately 800k Colombian-Americans residing in the U.S. Majority of Colombian-Americans reside in three states, Florida(South Florida), Northern NJ, and Queens NYC. I'm sure though you can also find a Colombian in least and most remote area of the country, Montana?? lol! There also other pockets of Colombian-americans spread out throughout the country, e.g. northern RI.

President Uribe visited this Colombian-American Community in RI today, bringing his message of the current condition of Colombia's reality to Colombians living in this state. Further, in his agenda, he will be attending the U.S. Mayor Conference event, taking place in Providence, meeting with local business leaders, and public elected officials. Policy wise, we must remember, Colombia is a U.S. key ally on the war on drugs in the western hemisphere, and his administration continues to ferociously lobby Congress to ratify the free trade agreement(FTA).
